Living Waters Lutheran Church
An Oasis of Prayer, Belonging and Service.

Belonging...

(Kid Friendly Services, People of all Abilities, Families of all Kinds)

Are you looking for a church home? We'd love to have you visit Living Waters.

Here's what members are saying about Living Waters:

LWLC is like a 2nd home for me. It is a place where I am accepted for who I am. I can worship God and not worry about "judgement".

I come to LWLC sometimes full of worship, other times struggling with daily life and broken. Whatever my situation, at the time, I feel welcomed and have a real sense of community. The members here are authentic and really care about you.

  Verse of the Month:

"Faith is being sure of what we hope for

and certain of what we do not see."

Hebrews 11:1

Call Committee Formed

The St. Paul Area Synod will serve as a valuable partner and resource for us during the Call Process. As such, the Synod has appointed the Reverend Justin Grimm to work with our Call Committee.

- Pastor Justin will help us to grow in understanding of one another, work with the call committee in understanding their task, as well as prepare them for interviewing pastoral candidates.

- Along with the call committee, the Synod invites the congregation to prayerfully submit names of pastors that may be considered for the call.  Congregational members should prayerfully consider the Ministry Site Profile as they consider nominating a pastor for the call. Names will then be given to Pr. Justin, so he can talk with bishops/synods regarding a pastor’s eligibility for call.

The task of calling a pastor belongs to the congregation. The pastoral call is God’s activity, but God works through the congregation, committees, pastors, and Synod staff to call pastors to serve the Church.

The members of the call committee want to invite all members to participate to some degree in the process of calling our next pastor. If, as you visit other congregations or talk with your friends and relatives, you become aware of a pastor whom you think may fit the ministry of our congregation; let us know by completing a nomination form. Forms will be available in the church office.

Completed forms need to be sealed in an envelope and turned into the church office, labeled attention Andrea Haworth or Mark Knudson. This nomination will be shared with Synod staff. The last day to submit a nomination form is June 30.
