Summer Worship: “Seeds for Service”
As we in the church enter our season of Pentecost, we are reminded that we are to grow and blossom and flourish as the harvest of God. Our liturgical color for the season is green, reminding us to be “green and growing”. The natural world around us reminds us of this, as well! As we enter this season together, please take note of the following:
TIME: Now through September 6, we will only have one worship service each Sunday morning, at 10:00 a.m. There will be no Sunday School on a regular basis over the summer.
THEMES: Be listening all summer for the recurring theme of “Seeds for Service”. Our Sunday lessons throughout the summer contain many references to seeds, growth, harvest, and feeding… pay attention to the ways these themes “blossom and flourish” throughout the summer. Keep your eyes open for visual reminders of this, as well! Help the children around you make note of the changes in the sanctuary and themes in the lessons, too!
